Pink Crystals

Every pink stone in the database, with what it is made of and what it is traditionally used for.

Pink stones are the softest register of the heart group. Where the green heart stones are about growth and loyalty, the pink ones are about tenderness, self-forgiveness and staying open after a reason to close. Manganese is behind most natural pinks, from rose quartz to rhodochrosite to rhodonite. Several of them, kunzite especially, fade in sunlight and should be kept out of a bright window.

Kunzite

Spodumene

Pale pink spodumene with a strong lengthwise sheen, tied to opening a guarded heart.

Worth knowing: Kunzite fades in sunlight and cleaves easily along one plane, so a knock in the wrong direction can split it.

Why the colour matters

Colour is the fastest way into the correspondence system, because the chakra scheme is itself colour-coded, and most traditional associations follow the colour rather than the mineralogy. It is also the least reliable guide to how a stone must be treated: two stones of the same colour can be a hard silicate and a soft copper carbonate, and only one of them survives a rinse. Each card above carries its own verdict, and the safety checker has the full reasoning.

Fact and tradition, kept apart

The mineral family, the Mohs hardness and the water verdict on each card are checkable physical fact, drawn from standard mineralogical and gemmological references. The chakra, element and purpose associations are tradition, published across the modern crystal-healing literature and offered here for reflection rather than as fact. Nothing on this page is medical advice. Browse the full database →
