Crystals for Confidence

The stones traditionally chosen for confidence, what each one is used for, and how to look after it.

Confidence belongs to the solar plexus in the chakra scheme, and its stones are the golds and warm oranges. They are traditionally used before rather than after: carried into the interview, the pitch or the conversation, not held afterwards to recover from it. Tiger's eye is the classic pick because the tradition frames it as nerve with its eyes open rather than blind bravado.

How to actually use them

Tradition is more specific about method than most articles let on. Grounding and protection stones are held or placed rather than worn. Sleep stones go on the nightstand, not under the pillow where they get lost. Throat stones are worn at the neck. Money stones go where the money is handled. Pick one rather than a handful: the consistent instruction across the literature is that a single stone with a stated intention beats a pocketful without one.

If you would rather describe the feeling than pick from a list, the crystal finder starts from what you need and works backwards to the stone.

Fact and tradition, kept apart

The mineral family, the Mohs hardness and the water verdict on each card are checkable physical fact, drawn from standard mineralogical and gemmological references. The chakra, element and purpose associations are tradition, published across the modern crystal-healing literature and offered here for reflection rather than as fact.
