The stones traditionally chosen for manifestation, what each one is used for, and how to look after it.
Manifestation in modern crystal practice means holding a specific, stated intention rather than a general mood, and the traditional stones for it are the ones read as focusing and amplifying rather than soothing. Citrine and pyrite for material asks, garnet for anything requiring sustained appetite, apatite for the version that needs an actual plan behind it. Clear quartz is added to strengthen whatever the others are doing.
Apatite · Mohs 5
Blue-green and tied to motivation with a plan behind it rather than a burst of enthusiasm.
Quartz · Mohs 7
Warm yellow quartz tied to money and nerve, and the most commonly treated stone in the trade.
Worth knowing: Most commercial citrine is amethyst that has been heat-treated to turn yellow. Natural citrine is paler and much rarer.
Garnet · Mohs 6.5–7.5
Deep red and tied to appetite: passion, commitment and the energy to chase something.
Iron sulfide · Mohs 6–6.5
Brassy gold cubes, fool's gold, traditionally the stone of nerve in money matters.
Tradition is more specific about method than most articles let on. Grounding and protection stones are held or placed rather than worn. Sleep stones go on the nightstand, not under the pillow where they get lost. Throat stones are worn at the neck. Money stones go where the money is handled. Pick one rather than a handful: the consistent instruction across the literature is that a single stone with a stated intention beats a pocketful without one.
If you would rather describe the feeling than pick from a list, the crystal finder starts from what you need and works backwards to the stone.
The mineral family, the Mohs hardness and the water verdict on each card are checkable physical fact, drawn from standard mineralogical and gemmological references. The chakra, element and purpose associations are tradition, published across the modern crystal-healing literature and offered here for reflection rather than as fact.
